A Praise Report Worth Shouting From the Mountaintops
Okay, let’s go ahead and silence that little voice that says reading the Bible from Genesis to Revelation is “doing too much.” Or “impossible” Because today, we’re flipping that lie on its head .
This isn’t just a post—it’s a praise report! So buckle up, grab a tea, and let’s talk about what happens when obedience, dreams, and divine timing collide.
A Lonely Road… But Worth Every Step
First off—can we be real for a second? This faith walk? Sometimes it’s a quiet, lonely road. Not because people are bad, but not everyone is running toward God with the same passion, consistency, and intensity.
There’ve been seasons where I’ve had to love folks from afar—not out of judgment but out of obedience. When you’re serious about growing with God, sometimes the pruning looks like separation. Not everyone’s ready to surrender, and the truth is, who you hang around, you start to become. I’ve made choices that some couldn’t understand, sacrifices that raised eyebrows. But guess what? I have zero regrets. My “yes” to God required some “no’s” to comfort, to people, and to distractions.
Now, The Praise Report 🎉
So, out of the blue, someone I hadn’t talked to in almost 11 months reached out. We weren’t super close. The timing? Wild. Because just 2 days earlier, I had a dream about her. Yup. I be dreamin’ like Joseph sometimes! 😄
Now dreams and how God speaks through them? That’s a whole other blog (and yes, it’s coming!). But let me just say: when God speaks, pay attention—even in your sleep.
Truth be told, I didn’t want to respond. Not because she was toxic or anything, but because I was in a season of deep consecration.. Those of you who’ve been there—you know. That sacred, pruning phase where God is detoxing your soul, stretching your obedience, and realigning your life. God is refining your mind, emotions, choices—literally everything. That meant Separation. Silence. Stillness. Dying to flesh. He was teaching me what it means to live for Him in truth, not just religious routine. I ignored a lot of people . People were left on “read” 😅—my apologies if you were one of them no hard feelings, it was either you or my growth.—It wasn’t personal; Hope you understand.
But something tugged on my heart. So I responded.
Divine Alignment Over Dinner
We got to talking, and somehow God came up (of course He did!). Suddenly I’m like, “Let’s meet for dinner?” And y’all…in that season, I had zero business being out to dinner.
So there I was, sitting across from someone I hadn’t spoken to in almost a year, heart thumping because I knew—I had to share my dream with her. Now, was I comfortable? Nope. Was it awkward? Yup. But I obeyed.
And that dream? It was confirmation for her. That moment turned into deep conversation. We poured into each other. Encouraged one another. Blessed one another. And from that dinner on, God made it clear—this wasn’t random. He had planted a kingdom sister in my life.
And Then Came the Challenge…
During one of our chats, I encouraged her to start reading the Bible—from Genesis to Revelation. Not just cherry-pick verses, but consume the whole counsel of God.
I told her, “There’s a promise in Scripture: the Word is for everyone—you don’t need to go through a middleman to hear God for yourself ”
“They shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest,” says the Lord. — Jeremiah 31:34
I told her I was never a reader. Like… ever. But the Holy Spirit gave me grace and hunger to read the entire Bible—multiple times. And with each reading, He unlocked layers of understanding, conviction, and wisdom I didn’t even know existed.
She took the advice. And guess what?
She’s finishing the WHOLE BIBLE next month. Somebody scream hallelujah! Yes. You read that right. And YES, we are about to throw a party!
This Is Bigger Than a Book Club
We’re not letting this milestone pass quietly. Oh no, we’re throwing a celebration. This is a kingdom win.
This isn’t just about a girl reading a book. This is about a woman of God rising. One who was once deep in the world, now deep in the Word.
And she’s not alone. I see it everywhere—A generation of daughters rising—former world lovers now in love with Jesus. Who are trading in their pain for purpose! Women who don’t just post scriptures but live them.
Can I just add — these women are the full package & absolutely stunning — inside and out. They’re effortlessly stylish, radiate joy, crack you up with their humor, and above all, they love deeply and truly. Side note: their future husbands? Oh, they’re in for a divine blessing — for real!
They’re not just talking about holiness—they are walking it out, even when it’s hard but by his grace.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’”
— 2 Corinthians 12:9
This walk with Jesus? It’s not religion—it’s relationship.
Not just a belief system—it’s a lifestyle.
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” – James 1:22
Final Words
Please say a BIG CONGRATS to my sister for this milestone. Let’s give her her flowers 💐💃🏼 because this is major. I hope her journey encourages you—yes YOU—to pick up that Bible. Start where you are. Go at your pace. And know that if God can take someone who wasn’t even a reader and turn her into a full-on Word warrior, He can do the same for you.
Don’t wait for perfection. Don’t wait for a new year’s resolution. Start where you are. Just…start. Don’t let fear or your past or even your current level of understanding stop you.
Ask God for grace. He will meet you.
So…
