What comes to mind when you hear the phrase kingdom business? Do you think of a Christian bookstore or a gospel radio station? While those are great, I believe God is calling His people to something much greater—a full-on infiltration of every industry with His kingdom principles!
The problem is that too many Christians have confined their faith to only the four walls of the church. We show up on Sundays, maybe attend a midweek service, and then go back to our 9-to-5 jobs, never realizing that our real ministry happens outside the church—in the everyday hustle of life.
Think about it—where do you spend most of your time? At work. In businesses. Engaging in transactions.
And yet, the business world is one of the most secularized arenas, flooded with worldly values, leaving little space for the Kingdom of God. And that is exactly where God wants His people to stand on business—His business!
Where are the kingdom entrepreneurs? Where are the men and women who will boldly carry God’s principles into the marketplace?
Kingdom Business: More Than a Church Thing
God is raising a new generation—a people who will carry His presence into every sphere of influence. Whether it be:
• Government officials like Daniel (Daniel 6:3) who will stand for righteousness.
• Therapists who counsel with the Word of God as their foundation.
• Real estate developers like the one I heard about who buys land, prays over it, and builds houses for people to live in blessed communities.
• Kingdom news channels that report from a biblical worldview, not a corrupt, fear-mongering one. kingdom movies, music, and social media content that glorify God instead of pushing ungodly agendas.
• Kingdom barbershops and beauty salons where an appointment turns into deliverance!
• Schools where Jesus is the foundation, and teachers raise up godly leaders, not just students who pass exams.
• Fashion designers who create modest yet stylish clothing that glorifies God.
• Kingdom doctors and hospitals that believe in prayer and medicine.
• Bakers, chefs, filmmakers, writers, and artists who use their gifts to spread His message, not the world’s!
The secular world has its version of everything—music, fashion, business, media—but where are the kingdom versions? We wonder why so many Christians struggle to live holy, yet we are constantly bombarded with ungodly content from movies, music, and social media. The enemy has mastered the art of influencing culture, and he’s been unapologetic about it. So why are we so timid about bringing the kingdom of God into these spaces? Media shapes minds. What people hear and see daily is what they start believing and living out (Romans 12:2). The enemy understands this well, which is why secular businesses and entertainment are so prevalent.
Stand Unashamed in the Marketplace
I once flew with a Middle Eastern airline, and before takeoff, they unapologetically led an Islamic prayer. Not only that, but there was a designated space on the plane for prayer! Imagine if a kingdom airline did the same—starting every flight with prayer, setting an atmosphere of peace instead of fear.
The Bible says:
“Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men.” (Proverbs 22:29)
“And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.” (Deuteronomy 8:18)
We have been given the power to create wealth, but for what purpose? To establish His kingdom on earth! But here’s the key: we can’t separate our business from our faith. If you are rooted in the Word, then the Word will naturally flow through your business.
Paul was a tentmaker (Acts 18:3). Lydia was a wealthy merchant who sold purple cloth (Acts 16:14). The Proverbs 31 woman had multiple streams of income (Proverbs 31:16, 18, 24). Joseph was a high-ranking government official (Genesis 41:41-44). Luke was a physician(Colossians 4:14). Daniel was an advisor to kings (Daniel 6:1-3).
Kingdom entrepreneurs are not a new thing. The Bible is filled with them!
Get in the Secret Place & Get the Blueprint
One reason many Christians don’t step into kingdom business is that they have never asked God what He called them to do. They followed money, family expectations, or personal desires instead of God’s divine blueprint. That’s why so many feel unfulfilled, restless, and frustrated in their careers and business.
If you are out of alignment with your purpose, you will always feel like something is missing.
The only way to discover and operate in your true calling is to spend time in the secret place with God. Your business, your career, your calling—all of it should mirror the plans of heaven on earth. The Holy Spirit has strategies, business ideas, and blueprints from Heaven, but He’s waiting for you to seek Him for direction (Jeremiah 33:3).
We serve the God of all creation, the One who created the heavens and the earth. He is not boring, and neither should we be! Christianity has been painted as dull and restrictive, but the truth is, the most creative, innovative, and engaging ideas should be coming from kingdom people—not the world.
A New Era of Kingdom Businesses
I’m waiting for the day when:
✅ Christian music plays in public spaces more than secular music.
✅ High-quality Kingdom movies flood theaters and streaming platforms.
✅ Christian-owned airlines, banks, and clothing brands set the standard for excellence.
✅ Kingdom entrepreneurs dominate every industry, influencing culture instead of being influenced by it.
And guess what? That day starts with YOU.
God is raising up men and women filled with the Holy Spirit, rooted in His Word, and ready to stand boldly on Kingdom business. He is giving divine blueprints, supernatural wisdom, and creative strategies to those who seek Him. But we must be unashamed to build for His glory.
Your business is not just about making money—it’s a platform for spreading God’s principles in culture.
Are you ready to stand on business? Are you ready to walk boldly in your Kingdom calling?
Are you willing to seek Him for direction? Are you ready to take your industry for the kingdom?
The world has had its time running things. Now, it’s time for the kingdom to rise!
Arise, oh kingdom entrepreneur For your Light Has Come! Stand on business—God’s business!
